Terms Of Service-Vehicle Hire

  1. Booking and Payment: A vehicle is only issued upon successful booking confirmed after approval and payment. Rental costs are inclusive of applicable taxes with no hidden charges.
  2. Hire Charges: Charges are based on the number of days hired and mileage covered. The minimum rental period is 12 hours, and late returns incur an extra payment of 500/= per hour.
  3. Vehicle Condition: By accepting the vehicle, the hirer is deemed to have satisfied themselves that the vehicle is roadworthy and in safe working order.
  4. Authorized Drivers: Only the hirer or authorized drivers named in the contract are permitted to drive. Drivers must have held a valid license for at least 2 years and be between 21 and 70 years old.
  5. Sobriety and Conduct: The vehicle shall not be driven by anyone under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or any consciousness-impairing substances. All traffic laws and the Highway Code must be followed.
  6. Security: The vehicle must be kept locked and securely parked when not in use. Hirers must utilize any installed anti-theft devices.
  7. Territorial and Purpose Limits: The vehicle shall be used only for the stated purpose and may not be taken out of Kenya or the stated destination without prior arrangement.
  8. Maintenance: The hirer is responsible for checking water, oil, and tire pressure at all times and is liable for any damage resulting from neglect.
  9. Liability: The Company is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage sustained by the hirer due to vehicle defects or breakdowns.
  10. Repairs and Negligence: In case of damage caused by willful acts or gross neglect, the hirer must pay the Company within 24 hours. The hirer is also responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement of broken or stolen parts.
  11. Accident Reporting: All accidents must be reported to the nearest police station and the Company within 24 hours. Under no circumstances should the hirer admit liability.
  12. Insurance (CDI): While vehicles are insured, the hirer is responsible for an excess premium of Kshs. 50,000/= for collision and Kshs. 80,000/= for theft. Violation of any contract terms voids the Collision Damage Insurance (CDI), making the hirer liable for total damages.
  13. Complaints: All complaints must be channeled through official company contacts for appropriate response.
